Pretty good but not great. Was in town visiting at the local resort. Read the reviews and decided to try. Nice atmosphere wirh a fireplace. Not unfriendly... But not very friendly either. Food was good, but not great and was high for the area and for what you got. Steak was actually very good and well cooked. Descent thickness, not very thin like some places that don't specialize in steaks. Pizza was good and by far the best value. Salad was good with house dressing. Kids chicken was pretty good with fries. The garlic bread was good but a little greasy. Again overall good, but just seemed overpriced and something about it that didn't satisfy completely. Hard to put a finger on it.

Went the other night because everyone had raved about it. First impression was the host who was very unfriendly. Never smiled. Didn't even look at us until my husband ask him if we needed our name on a list we waited about 45 min and were about to leave when we got seated. The wait staff were ok the one at the next table was much friendlier than ours. Food was ok but nothing fantastic. . Bread and garlic dipping oil was very good.

Pretty disappointed...passed by many times and always wanted to try it....decent mussels with white sauce to start, but garlic bread was basically sitting in an inch of butter in the basket... Could mot really eat it....wife had veal parm and she loved it....huge portion....I had the ribeye and it was terrible....totally drenched is some sort if wine gravy mushroom sauce....you don't treat a $30 steak this way.... Anyway they did the right thing and took it off my bill as it was not edible....very nice server...my son had a pizza and it was decent...not sure I will go back, but based on other reviews maybe it was just a bad night

We happened to find this place by accident. Glad we did -food was very good. I had the veal part and was very good-Cesar salad was full of flavor. Wife had the shrimp pasta--nice shrimp and not over cooked. The bread was tasteful and hot. Their dipping sauce was outstanding-- fresh garlic and herbs with oil. Would go back and try their pizzas-look awesome..

Have eaten here since it opened and it is a focal point of each visit to Young Harris/Hiawassee. When it opened it quickly became a hit, such that people would drive up from Atlanta just to eat here. Reservations are highly recommended because it fills up fast and you may not get seated without a long wait. House salad has its own dressing that is raspberry based and very good. Stuffed shells, baked ziti or lasagna is usually recommended but this time my lasagna was mainly a plate of sauce and ingredients that looked like the lasagna had been dropped. It was not as good as it used to be and it took a half hour after salads to get. My wife loved her stuffed shells so it wasn't all bad. Still, I can't give them high marks anymore.

Greeted very nicely. Beautiful restaurant. Terrific waitress. Outstanding garlic bread. Excellent Caesar salad. Delicious Chicken Parm. Delicious sausage & peppers. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Large portions. A+ service. (Their early-bird dinner is a true bargain). Highly recommend this fine restaurant.

We had a fantastic server, Sheila. The dipping sauce for the bread is wonderful for garlic fans too. The main dishes were good, but not great. We had one of the Dinner for Two deals with calamari and chicken marsala as the main dishes. Left very full. Decent experience overall.

We own a cabin between Blairsville and Young Harris. EVERY time we go up there for the weekend with friends, we take them to Enrico's. We swear that it is better than any italian restaurant that we've been to in the metro Atlanta area. On our last visit, I had the Seafood Enrico and it was incredible. Their garlic rolls are so good. Although they do not serve alcoholic beverages, they allow you to bring in your own bottle of wine (for a small corkage fee). I'm getting ready for a girl's trip up to the cabin this weekend and we're looking forward to eating at Enrico's Saturday night.

My wife and I went to Enrico's for the second night in a row last night only because every other restaurant in town was closed for Labor Day. We went with another couple and their kids the first night. The first night, the food was family-italian-restaurant-solid with some highlights. My calamari fra diavolo was pretty good. The second night I ordered the mussels in tarragon sauce (not saffron, Michael), but the waiter later came out and said they were out of mussels. This is a pet peeve of mine! Please don't let me order a dish and get excited about it before you tell me you don't have it - I thought part of a waiter's job is to know what's available. We had the garlic rolls - very good. My wife had ravioli with shrimp - quite good. I had the ribeye (after asking the waiter if the cut looked good). I should have known better. I was served a tough piece of steak completely smothered in a mushroom sauce which I can only assume was designed to hide how bad the meat was. A highlight of both dinners is the BYOB policy with only a $5 corkage fee. Within the realm of Blairsville, Young Harris, Hiawassee, Hayesville; this restaurant would get 4-stars. Within the realm of Atlanta or other large city dining, it would get 2-stars. So I'll give it 3-stars.

This was a great find for dinner. The service is excellent and the menu is very diverse. You can have traditional Italian entrees and appetizers or something a bit different that the chef has created for that evening. Monday through Thursday they offer an excellent dinner special for two people, $20 total, for two entrees and either appetizer or dessert. We opted for entrees that were not on that list and they were very well prepared. It's a dry county so if you want beer or wine, BYOB. This is probably as close to 'fine dining" as you can get in this area. We got a tiramisu to go and it was good but too sweet...more whipped cream like instead of mascarpone. Other than that, I would highly recommend Enrico's and we can't wait to return to the area and eat there again.

Made the mistake of going back for another birthday dinner for a friend. The person who made the reservations specifically asked that we not have Elizabeth as our server based on our past experience. Our server this time was Angela. She did a great job and the good was really good. Then the bills arrived with the add-ons that were not mentioned to us when the orders were taken. One person was asked if they wanted the chicken on their entree salad grilled or blackened; she opted for blackened....add $1.00. My husband was asked if he wanted anchovies on his Ceasar's salad, no mention of an additional charge, but they added $1.00 for two very small pieces. We were asked if we wanted regular or garlic bread. From past experience someone in our group cautioned that while they asked for a choice, they never tell you there is a $2.50 up-charge for the garlic bread. The final straw: there were 8 of us and a 20% tip was added that included 20% on the sales tax. WILL WE GO BACK.......EXTREMELY DOUBTFUL.

This little restaurant has become a favorite of mine. I would definitely come back for dinner and I recommend it to those visiting this area. The servers were very friendly especially Ilka. The food was great and there was not much of a wait. This restaurant was a very positive dinning outing.

The mussels in tarragon cream sauce were fantastic. Garlic bread dipped in the tarragon cream sauce.... heaven. I also liked the olive oil dip they served as well. I ordered eggplant stuffed with ricotta cheese, covered with more cheese and marinara. It was heavy, but delicious - even the vegetables that came with it! My husband got the chicken picatta and said it was great. We were too full for dessert... Our waitress was super sweet and helpful and very attentive. We'll definitely go back next time we visit the area.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
